ALGS Studio

Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026

This policy covers the games and websites published by ALGS LLC (“ALGS Studio”, “we”). In short: our games collect a little anonymous play data so we can make them better. We don’t ask for your name, email or location, we don’t sell anything about you, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

What our games collect

When a game sends data to us, it can include:

  • A random player ID. It is made on your device the first time you play and is not linked to your name, account, email or device identifiers. Reinstalling the game or clearing its data creates a new one.
  • Play statistics. For example: the choices you made, fights and their outcomes, your cards and items, how far you got, and whether you won.
  • Technical details. The game’s version and the type of platform (for example “web” or “Mac”).
  • Feedback you choose to send. Your message, its category, where you were in the game, and, if you include it, a copy of your game in progress so we can reproduce what you saw.
  • A name, only if you type one. Some feedback forms let you add a name so we know who to thank. It is optional, and it can be anything.

Our games do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, advertising ID or payment details.

Why we collect it

Only to develop our games: to find bugs, balance difficulty, and understand what players enjoy. We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t build profiles of individual players.

Your choices

  • Games that send play statistics have a setting to turn it off (in Refraction: Share run data on the Feedback form).
  • Feedback is only ever sent when you press Send.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Who processes it

Game data is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, run on Cloudflare, which hosts our services and this website. Like any web service, Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver and protect the connection; we don’t store it with game data. We don’t sell or share game data with anyone else.

If you get a game through a store (such as the App Store, Google Play, Steam or itch.io), that store’s own privacy policy covers what it collects.

How long we keep it

We keep game data until you ask us to delete it. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days.

Deleting your data

Email contact@algsstudio.com with the game’s name and your player ID (in Refraction it is shown on the Feedback form). We will delete everything that game sent about that player ID and confirm by email. If you can’t find your player ID, write to us anyway and we will help.

Game-specific details

Refraction

Refraction sends play statistics after fights, at the start of each act and at the end of a run, plus any feedback you send. It shows no ads and contains no third-party tracking. Refraction is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them; if you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will mention it in the affected games.
